Tasty Tuesday…Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole

Tonight I made a roast in the crock pot with potatoes and carrots.  I decided to make green bean casserole, it’s a family favorite that we don’t have often.  So here is how I do it 🙂

32 ounces of green beans

1 can of cream of chicken soup ( most use cream of mushroom but I am allergic)

3/4 cup of milk

1.5 packages of cheese fried onions

1 package of Kraft Sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 to 3/4 pounds of maple ham ( we had some left over not sure exactly how much I used)

Take the beans and ham and put them in a skillet. I get the ham and beans warm.

Add the cream of chicken soup and 3/4 cup of milk. Warm that.

In a casserole dish place some of the fried onions. It doesn’t have to cover every square inch because of the next step.

Place a layer of the shredded cheese.

Place a layer of the green bean mixture.

Layer cheese and fried onions

Repeat with another layer of beans, cheese, and onions

Bake for 30 minutes on 350

Then add another bit of friend onions

Bake 5 more minutes….

I did not take a picture of this on a serving dish and I should have. Just trust me though….it is SOOOO good! Delish!!!
