Refreshing, colorful, and nutrient-rich fruit salad, without a doubt, symbolizes a spoonful of awesomeness. The deliciously healthy combination of fruits can definitely beat the heat. Fruits come loaded with plenty of water and fiber, and that is what makes them surprisingly filling. Kids, especially, love this colorful combination of fruits because of its succulent taste. It simply IS the Perfect Fruit Salad.
Adding in-season fruits in the form of a salad to your diet is the best way to curve sugar cravings. In honor of the smoldering heat and humidity this summer is bringing, I am sharing one of my favorite recipes of a summer fruit salad (don’t be afraid to try it in different seasons with slight variations), which is supremely delicious, revitalizing, and healthy. With no refined sugar, whipped cream (optional), or yogurt, the salad has nothing but the richness and decadence of fresh fruits.
Why Your Summers Need Fruit Salads
Dehydration, sunburn, loss of appetite, mood swings, profuse sweating, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera – summers can really take a toll on you. It is the time of year when you get to experience all these continuing challenges of a hot season. The summer months are not always kind. Heat mixed with humidity can bring even the strongest individual to their knees. There is no denying that I used to dread the idea of approaching summer.
I know, I know. I’m complaining. But that is what so many people go through when they have to go out in the scorching weather. But if you are counting the positives of this season, there is no way you can ignore the coolness and freshness of summer fruits. That means fruits like honeydew lemon, berries, peaches, and watermelon, not only make a delicious and juicy recipe but also help you reduce body heat.
The season comes with refreshing fruits that can make an effective means to beat the heat. You can grow or pick your in-season favorite fruits like grapes that come straight from the homegrown vine, or strawberries straight from the strawberry bed. Eat fruit salad as a coolant in the sweltering months of summer. A bowl full of refreshing seasonal fruits can be a perfect add-on to enjoy in your summer BBQ party. The flavorful fruit salad is light and can instantly makes you feel all keyed up.

What Makes it Interesting – Picking Your Favorite Fruits
How about adding this truly delectable salad to your meal as your go-to summer dessert?
It is a dessert that you can enjoy after or before a meal without any guilt of ruining your diet. The more variation you add, the greater the benefits you will get. The one feature that makes it a perfect summer treat is that it allows you to add fruits that you love the most.
Although there is a huge list of fruits that make great salads, you can pick more nutritious ones. For instance, grapes, peaches, apples, and strawberries are some of the most sought after fruits for summer salads.
Owing to their composition, all these fruit choices are tremendously helpful in keeping the temperature of the body low. Plus, they come packed with tons of antioxidants and vitamins and can make a healthy fusion of taste and nutrients.
Berries can alone add a burst of flavors and colors to your fruit bowl. Be it raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries; they are a great storehouse of fiber and antioxidants. I like adding them to my fruit salad as they can significantly reduce inflammation in the body.
Spruce up Fruit Salad with these Additions

Not only this, but you can also use some colorful fruits with interesting toppings to add some character to your salad. You can grill the fruits to bring a caramelized flavor.
