Colorado has a strong military tradition. As the home of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, the Centennial State prides itself on its military traditions. If you’re visiting the mountainous state or a resident, you’ll want to check out these military discounts in Colorado.

Visit Santa Claus

Visit Santa’s Workshop in Colorado! North Pole (Home of Santa’s Workshop) is a Colorado tradition since 1956. There are more than 25 rides and other attractions including magic shows, glass blowing, Santa’s House, arcade games, Santa’s Sleigh Ride (zipline), and more! Take a digital picture with Santa and enjoy the North Pole from the end of May until Christmas Eve! The North Pole offers a military discount for Active Duty and Retired Military and their dependents with military ID. The discount is $5.00 off the General Admission of $21.00. Children age 2 – 9 do not need an ID for the discount.

Feel the Music

Enjoy a cultural and enriching musical journey with the Colorado Symphony. The Colorado Symphony offers a generous discount of up to two $5 tickets and up to four tickets at 20% off the regular price per concert title for Active Military Personnel. Concerts include Classics (formerly Masterworks), Pops, Holiday, Inside the Score, Geek and Family series. Veterans with proof of military service (VA ID or veteran’s service organization membership ID or a copy of your DD214) can purchase up to four tickets at 20% o­ff per concert title. 2017 concerts include A Symphonic Beauty and the Best (Family Series), The Music of Star Wars (Geek Series), and more!

There are dozens of ski resorts that offer discounts from lift tickets, lodging, and shopping. Be sure to check to see if the resort you’re visiting offers a military discount before booking tickets or lodging!

Keystone Ski Resort in Keystone, Colorado offers a military discount on lift tickets. Keystone has a special discount on the Liberty Pass (unlimited, unrestricted pass for active duty) and Liberty Honor Pass (unlimited pass with limited restrictions for retired military) as well as discounted regular lift tickets (available at military bases in Colorado). Call 970-754-0001 or check your military base ticket office for specific pricing and details. Keystone has more than 3,000 acres ready to ski! Another bonus, regardless of military status, is that kids (12 and under) ski free with two or more nights of lodging booked through the resort!

Winter Park Resort in Winter Park, Colorado offers discount season passes to active and retired military and their dependents. Discount passes can be purchased at Winter Park season pass office and ticket windows, or you can visit the following installations to obtain passes: Air Force Academy ITT, Peterson AFB ITT, Buckley AFB, Schriever AFB ODR, Fort Carson and FE Warren AFB ITT. If your travel takes you to Colorado in the summer, discounted summer passes are also available so your family can ride the alpine slide, try the human maze, and more!
