Taking time each day to spend time with the Lord will help boost your faith. I know writing out a few scriptures sounds like a simple enough task, but you will be amazed how you begin to crave the time set aside with the Lord after a few days of commitment.
You will see your faith increase and your thoughts will begin to focus on the deeper meaning of God’s Love. Growing in our faith is never-ending. We will never reach a max threshold and assume there’s no more to learn. We can continuously grow our faith stronger with each day that we are blessed to be on this earth.
How Does Scripture Writing Increase Your Faith
Feeds Your Soul
When I sit down and write out scriptures, I begin to feel that nourishment in my soul. Jesus is the bread of life and reading and living the Word of God is the food for my soul. Throughout my years of scripture reading, I’ve found numerous reading plans on the internet.
But, since you’ve come here to read this, I thought I’d let you know I have a monthly Journal Through the Bible study right here. Writing out scriptures resonates a thirst for learning and digging deeper in God’s Word.
Rest and Peace
Journaling my personal thoughts and feelings while reading and writing the scriptures is therapeutic for the soul (Matthew 11:28). It helps bring me rest and allows my mind to stop and focus on the scriptures.
I gain peace as I read and write about God’s promises. As I write the scriptures and meditate on God’s Word, I sense a huge wave of peace wash over me.
Listening to a Sunday Sermon gives me just enough fuel to start my week off on a positive step. As I commit my time to write out scriptures throughout the week, my faith is fueled and my mind is focused and grounded in His Word.
As life continues throwing curveballs my direction, I will not waiver nor lose focus because of my desire to hide His Word in my heart. I am firmly planted and God’s Love leads me through the struggles. I begin to see the promises and the depth of God’s Love and Mercy as I continue to my walk.
We each have an opportunity to have an intimate relationship with the Lord. When I take time away from my daily tasks to spend time in the Word, it allows me to grow and build a stronger, intimate relationship. God knows everything about me. Why wouldn’t I want to know all I can about Him as well?
When I am reminded of His Word and His love for me, it allows me to create a strong foundation that is not easily knocked down. The words I read and write help me create the foundation I need to withstand attacks from the enemy.
Writing the scriptures forces the words and promises to stick like glue in my mind. When struggles and doubts begin to creep in, His Word that I have hidden in my heart combats those fallacies and pushes the doubts out.
God has my back and He will never leave me nor forsake me. I lean on Him when I’m weak and He strengthens me during my times of despair. Writing and memorizing scriptures equips me with the tools necessary to find my peace and walk through any scenario unscathed.
