So one day when I was craving a tasty big mac it hit me. I am pretty good about figuring out a recipe by taste alone. Surely my taste buds could help me figure out the recipe for the big mac sauce and make it healthier.  I took recreating this as a fun challenge and turns out, I was right!

How to make Simple Homemade Big Mac Sauce

This easy sauce recipe is fast and delicious! 

Take a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, relish, onion and garlic powder, paprika, and vinegar.

Then whisk it really well.

You can store it in a clean dry glass jar, in the refrigerator. It should stay good for about a month.

Tips for making low carb Big Mac sauce

In place of sugar-free relish, you can use ¼ cup of minced dill pickles along with a tablespoon of Pyure (or your favorite low-carb sweetener).

While I love the idea of solely putting this on my burgers, there is actually a lot of things that you can do with this simple recipe. 

Some of my other plans for this big mac sauce are to add it to the following food items.

How to store Big Mac Sauce

I mentioned earlier using a glass jar. The biggest thing to remember for storage is that you need to store this in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge. As long as you do this, you shouldn’t have any issues with keeping it fresh.

Is Big Mac sauce just Thousand Island?

Oh my goodness, I hear this all the time! And now that you know the recipe, you can answer that with a firm “no.” Definitely not! 

I can see why people would think that because it does have that flavor a tad bit and look as well. But let’s be honest, deep down we all know that the secret sauce at McDonald’s is better than Thousand Island will ever be. 

McDonald’s used to be so proud of their recipe that no one really knew what was in it. But now that we’ve all focused a bit more on our taste buds and recipe creation, I think it’s easier to find out these things!

This Easy Keto Big Mac Sauce is a simple and easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of soy-free Mayonnaise (Like Sir Kensington)
  • ¼ cup of Sugar-free Relish
  • 2 teaspoon of Yellow Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon of Onion Powder
