Can you use flour tortillas for this recipe?
I’ve never used flour tortillas in this particular recipe. In my experience, flour tortillas do not have the same consistency as corn tortillas. Plus, if you use flour tortillas, this recipe will no longer be gluten-free. However, if you’re wanting to use a flour tortilla to make this recipe, just follow the same simple directions below. Keep on eye on the cooking time in the air fryer as the flour tortillas may cook a bit quicker than the corn tortillas.

How can you store these leftover chips to eat later?
Great question. Typically I’m a huge fan of having leftovers to eat for later. The lifespan of leftovers for these chips will be relatively small. So if you are going to save any for later, try your best to consume them that same day.
If you do have leftovers and want to store them though, you will want to store them in an airtight container so that they don’t lose their crispiness. No one likes soggy tortilla chips, right? If you do find that they aren’t as crispy tasting as leftovers, you can try to reintroduce the crispiness by putting them in the air fryer again for a few more minutes.
Can you prep these ahead of time?
Since this recipe is so simple, there isn’t a ton of prep work that needs to be done. However, if you’re looking for a way to save a small amount of time, you can always cut the tortillas into triangles to have them ready.
If you’re bringing your kids into the kitchen to help with meals, this is an excellent recipe for them to help with! They can work on cutting the tortillas and mixing together the ingredients with ease. Then, you just have to let the air fryer take over and do all the work! Talk about a way to bond together in the kitchen while making something super delicious!
