How to Make a Meal Plan for Air Fryer Black Bean Burgers

Meal planning often seems like a daunting task. I guess that’s true, especially in the beginning, but once I overcame my fear of “where do I begin?!”, I am able to see how crucial it is for busy moms like me.

So to make it simple, I broke the whole process into three steps: recipe selection, ingredients shopping, and meal planning.  When you follow these key steps, creating a meal plan becomes a breeze.

What Side Dishes Should I Prepare to Compliment these Black Bean Burgers?

Well, the options are numerous, as people can have plenty of side dishes to double the dose of flavors. I love adding low carb BBQ chicken lettuce wraps to this recipe. It is one of the nutritious options and enough to satiate my appetite if I still feel hungry after having my black bean burger. You can also add leafy greens and alfalfa sprouts to increase the nutritional value of the burgers.

What Toppings go Well with Air Fryer Black Bean Burgers

Honestly, the options are endless. These are some of my favorite toppings:

Why Are Air Fryer Black Bean Burgers Healthier?

Although I covered this in the beginning, I think mentioning this point separately will help you understand the nutritional value of this recipe. Air fryer black bean burger is, without a doubt, one of the healthier meatless alternatives to traditional burgers.

It also makes a great source of healthy nutrients. Black beans, for instance, are nutrient-rich and come loaded with proteins, potassium, folate, and vitamins. Also, you do the cooking in hot air, which means there is no need to use oil. Eventually, you have a recipe that’s super diet-friendly.

How Long Can You Store the Burgers?

They are great to keep me full for 4 to 6 hours. The quality that makes these burgers the best food choice is that you can store them for 3 to 5 days in the fridge. Don’t forget to cover the container with an air-tight fitting lid. I defrost the burgers before warming them up.

Is this Recipe Allergy-Friendly?

Yes! The ingredients used in this recipe are soy and gluten-free. So if you or any of your family members are allergic to gluten or soy, bean burgers make an ideal choice to enjoy a meal without having to worry about allergies.

Black Bean Burgers

As I mentioned above, this recipe is a healthier alternative to the hamburgers many of us often turn to. These burgers certainly make for a choice you will not regret. Make the burgers to eat right away or keep them in the freezer to enjoy later.
