Air Fried Pork Chops

Air Fried Pork Chops

I love pork chops! My husband is the pork chop chef in this house. We love his pork chops so much that we call them “Daddy’s Famous Pork Chops.” And honestly, if we could eat them 2-3 times per week, we would!

Is there such a thing of pork chop overload? Possible, but in our house, we do try to have a balanced diet throughout the week. Lots of veggies, greens, and fruits are important, and then every once in a while, we sneak in a pork chop or two to add that much-needed protein as well.

Awesome recipes facebook group

Everyone in our house is crazy about my husband’s pork chop recipe. So, I had to set out and see if there was a different method of cooking that I was able to do as well! What if we were craving pork chops for dinner but he wasn’t going to be home that night? See, I needed to find a solution and answer to that question!

Before I continue, allow me to provide a disclaimer: I am NOT trying to top my husband’s recipe. Even if I tried, I just couldn’t. It isn’t possible because his pork chops are AMAZING!

So how do you cook pork chops in the air fryer? It’s easy — you’ll find the pork chop ingredients right here!

  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 egg whites, well beaten

Whisk the egg whites until frothy.

Marinate the seasoned pork chops in whisked egg whites for an hour.  Make sure every inch of the chops is covered with the marinade. This is best done in a resealable/Ziploc bag.

When ready to cook, pour the cornstarch in a shallow bowl or place. Season it with salt and pepper and mix well.

Take out one pork chop and shake off the excess marinade.

Dredge it in the cornstarch. Make sure it is well covered. Keep it on a wire rack and repeat with the remaining pork chops.

Spray the air fryer basket with oil mist.

Lay the pork chops in a single layer.

             Air Fried Pork Chops

Air fry the pork chops at 360F for 6 minutes. Flip and spay with more oil mist and air fry for another 6 minutes ay 360F

To get the gorgeous golden color, air fry at 400 F for another 6 minutes, flipping at halfway.                                    Air Fried Pork Chops

While the pork chops are being air fried, slice a jalapeños, removing the seeds and the membranes. And a couple of scallions. Heat about a tablespoon of oil and sauté the jalapeños slices and the scallions for a minute.

Pour the sautéed jalapeños and the scallion over the air fried pork chop and serve with salad of choice.

Notes

  1. The garnish of sautéed jalapeños and scallions is absolutely optional, but gives a nice flavor to the pork chops.

I’m not gonna lie here, these crispy pork chops are downright amazing. Again, it’s no secret that I love the “crunch” of food, so these healthy fried pork chops are literally right up my alley.

I love being able to use my Air Fryer for so many different purposes as well. One night easy pork chops, the next night sweet potato chips…and the next? Who knows, but if it can be cooked, it can be Air Fried and that’s what I love about it!

Don’t forget to print off your recipe to have handy!
